Number Sense the Origin of mathematics

Number Sense gave a language to humans to describe various patterns visible in Nature. The language of numbers helped them to describe the legs of a bird and the eyes of humans with a common word, “two” and to say that the number of eyes of a human is less than the legs of an animal.

By inventing symbols for numbers e.g. “2” for two, humans converted an adjective into an abstract noun. We became familiar with two as an adjective i.e. saying he has two eyes instead of just saying he has eyes. But by creating the symbol “2” now we could talk of “2” without reference to humans or animals or any concrete object. So the nouns in mathematics started the development of mathematics as a language to describe various patterns.
